Heating With Wood

Solid fuel, specifically wood, is the most basic, renewable, carbon neutral energy source available.

Trees are the only abundant, biodegradable, and renewable global resource. And, buning wood supports local communities. Many other “biofuels” require high energy processing, transportation, and packaging.

When wood is burned, the carbon contained in the wood is released back to the atmosphere. There is no additional carbon released from burning than would be released from the tree decomposing in the forest. Burning oil, natural gas or propane releases sequestered carbon from generations past. It will not be replaced in our lifetimes.

Solid fuel, specifically wood, is the most basic, renewable, carbon neutral energy source available, especially when burned in a highly efficient HearthStone TruHybrid™ product.
